The Sensory Workout Program (SWP) is a comprehensive online training designed for therapists, health and education professionals, caregivers, parents/helpers, SEN staff, social workers, and adoption workers.

The SWP online course with certification equips participants with valuable knowledge and evidence-based techniques to support individuals of all ages in achieving sensory balance and developing regulation and coping skills.

SWP focuses on mastering sensory integration techniques, providing adaptable strategies for diverse environments and age groups.

With the SWP course, participants will learn concepts and practical exercises and gain access to exclusive SWP methodologies and Cards with exercises designed to promote calming, alertness, focus, and relaxation.

By the end of this training, the learner will have a clear knowledge and understanding of the Sensory Workout Program and its foundation in the neurosciences and functional practical approach.

Key Skills and Learning Objectives:

Demonstrate a basic understanding of disrupted neuropathways and the effects of altered skill acquisition.
Identify three ways that the brain can change during neuroplasticity for positive functional behaviors.
Pinpoint specific oculomotor dysfunctions that cause a child to have decreased sensory intake from their environment.
Correlate the principles of neuroplasticity with specific targeted exercises and the Sensory Workout Program’s positive outcomes.
Select three appropriate evaluation tools consistent with variables such as time, space, and cognition for individualized assessment plans.
Identify four calming and four alerting activities used in preparation for the Core SWP.
Relate sensory preparation activities to the stimulation or calming of senses.
Demonstrate the use of two Core workout activities integrating the sensory system.

Correlate two Right Brain and two Left Brain follow-up activities to a specific Sensory Workout Program treatment process.
Describe the influence of repetitive movements and learning on neuroplasticity of the brain. Analyze the appropriate sensory input program cards required for an effective session's outcome.
Demonstrate the use of a 30, 45, or 60-minute SWP session.
Categorize a variety of sensory inputs for initial activities of the Sensory Workout Program.
Demonstrate the ability to instruct caregivers using the SWP for home programs.
Recognize the significant progress made while using the Sensory Workout Program and demonstrate understanding of upgrading the program as needed.
Understand the documentation of functional progress using the SWP.

The SWP online training costs $399 and is divided into four independent modules, each designed to explore sensory integration across age groups.

Each module offers 60 minutes of video lessons, combining theory with practical tips, plus handouts, quizzes and exercises tests to reinforce learning.
